Contra les patents de programari

El Ple del Senat va aprovar per unanimitat, el 8 de febrer, una moció de l'Entesa Catalana de Progrés (defensada pel senador Jordi Guillot) perquè el Govern es mantingui ferm en la seva negativa i intenti aconseguir a Europa una majoria contrària a l'adopció d'una Directiva europea sobre patents de programari. Tots els grups parlamentaris s’han posat d’acord per a aprovar la moció de l’Entesa mitjançant una esmena transaccional per tal d’aconseguir la prohibició de les patents a les invencions implementades per ordinador.

El grup de l’Entesa ara, a més d’insistir en un vot negatiu, demana que el Govern de l'Estat s’impliqui més per evitar aquesta normativa favorable a les patents. És per això que suggereix el diàleg amb altres països per aconseguir una nova majoria que refusi la proposta del 18 de maig i, per altra banda, que sensibilitzi els eurodiputats i eurodiputades escollits a l’estat espanyol perquè defensin també aquesta posició.
